She's good for the ego

C's favorite word these days is "cute."

As in, "H's nose is so cute, Mommy"and "Awww! My tummy is so cute, Mommy."

My favorite is when she reaches up, strokes my face, and says, "Mommy, your cheeks are so cute."

This is closely followed by when, in the bleary moments of the early morning, when both kiddos have decided to forgo sleep in favor of active play, C brushes aside my bedraggled hair and tells me, "Mommy, you're so pretty."

What would I do without my own personal cheerleader?
